i just love how people just post links to articles, not adding any words of their own.
its basically just a postcount++;

i'll read the article and if its interesting i'll comment about it.
its not hard to get up at 5AM and post links to all the articles just to get my postcount up.

i think this is warning-worthy. but that's just me.

I just love how people double post. It's basically just a postcount. Haha.

It's an interesting article. Most of this forum has AMD GPUs, yet the nVidia fannies are easily 10x as vocal. It's a good change of pace.

I'm pretty sure that's not true.

Remember that poll we had? ATI was nearly 2/1 after a while. Where is that thread?

Here: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2025188&highlight=gpu+poll

except that poll isn't strictly nVidia vs. AMD, its mostly 4xxx/5xxx series vs. GTX2xx series

there's a huge lump of votes that I'd bet consists of a large percentage of GeForce 8xxx/9xxx/GTS2xx users

heck, I currently own more nVidia cards than AMD right now but I voted 5850 in that poll because its my newest/best card and the one in my main rig

And some 2xxx and a whole lot of 3xxx cards too. Point is, recently purchased cards are from ATI, yet more blabber and fud gets spread from the nVidia crowd. I have two 3xxx cards, one 8800GTS and a few x1xxx class cards.

No reason to argue about this. Agree to disagree?

On topic, is this for upgraded blu-ray players or computer systems?

That's a good question, could possibly be both..at least if it's for BR Players, I suspect it will also come in a PC variant. Either way it's an interesting feature that may end up in peoples Home Theatre setups.

I dont think there is any requirement for comments. At least I have never seen one. :shrug;

dp not my fault

Actually yes it is. Sometimes the forum posting page will hang a bit, but if you were patient and reloaded the page you'd see that your post was logged the first time you clicked. This isn't a new problem, so put some ointment on that itchy trigger finger and stop double posting.

Also, posting right after the OP, all you did was bash his post, which at least had a link taking us somewhere with potentially useful information. If his folly is postcount boosting, you are just as guilty, if not more. Don't be a hypocrite.

In regards to stereoscopic videogame/movie technology, I see it as a natural progression of things. Eventually everything will be offered with it, as computing power and the available software becomes more mainstream.

I don't find myself in the position of feeling compelled to react these kinds of post all too often, but this is just asinine. Plain and simple.

You think thilan is just making threads to be a postcount whore?

He spends time reading the web, finds interesting links and posts them here perchance there are others on this forum who don't spend their time surfing all the web sites. (like myself) I find value in these links/threads. So too do others, which is why thilan knows he's not wasting his time or the forum's time in making such threads in the first place.

Warning worthy? What an utterly ridiculous thing to say.

If the thread isn't worthy of your time then don't bother making a hate-post over it. Just moooooove on.

Pretty sure, at least in P&N people who post links need to add their own commentary.

Yep if we made the same poll about the 8series against the 2000-series cards the outcome would be completly different, probably a lot of people still use a 8series card even here..

@just posting links: I agree with IDC - the link alone has more added value to this thread than most of the comments here..

If I wanted my post count higher I'd go post in all the non-tech forums as well, but I don't. As for a comment...would me saying "cool" have been enough? If I have something to add to a link I post I say it...otherwise, it's just information that others can choose to read or not...doesn't make a difference to me. Thanks for your comments though.

Oh and thanks IDC. I appreciate it.

I think the title of the OP is more than enough for me to tell if it is something I want to read. Thank you, Thilaniyan.
