when i close my L1 bridges of my AMD 1ghz processor (will tell you the # on it when i reclose the bridges here shortly) the temp of my processor jumps up almost 15-20degrees celcius, why is this????

I have all my L1 bridges closed, and its still running a little hotter than when they are not...
i was under the assumption that a AXIAR amd processor was a great overclocker?

thanks

i have a axia cpu 1ghz and it doesn't change when the bridges are closed, u sure the multiplyer isn't set higher on your mobo?

at 10x100 (default) it runs hotter than when the bridges aren't closed... my chip runs stable at 80 degrees Celcius (i've done it, and no stability issues at all)--118x11 (1300mhz) the CPU runs at 51 degree's Celcius, with no stability issues at all.

well, 79 C, i know that is Really high, but when i rebooted the first time, that is what motherboard monitor told me...it ran stable for a few hours... but i was weary myself
that was at 10x100

after reapplying the thermal paste, and reseating the HSF (Volcano2), i'm down to 41 C (10x100) and 49 C (118x11).

both stable
