AMD Tbird prices are dropping by the MINUTE!!

I've never seen anything like this in my life...

...in just a few hours, Tbird 1.1GHz dropped to $371, the 1Gigahertz dropped to $273, and the best deal of all: Tbird 800MHz for $130! By the time you get to Pricewatch, it's probably lower already...! 😀

How about that SMP system now? (With AMD/760 and DDR memory) 😉

Someone call a ambulance for me----my retail 1g thunderbird just came in the mail yesterday. With shipping $529.00 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 I just went to pricewatch, a retail box with FHS --$309.00 :| :| :| :| :|

FOH, return it, sure, it'll cost ya about $50 restocking or so, but you'll still save yourself about $180!!!

that gotta be the funniest situtation I've ever heard...

Amen brother! lol

Yes I would also like to know when the next round of high performance DDR motherboard chipsets will be released by VIA or whoever and when Asus and Abit will start selling their boards with this chipsets on them.

I hope its by December.

P.S. Anyone with insider info send me an Email 🙂

zippy----Thats very tempting to do but I couldn't have a clear conscious if I did that. It's not defective and it's not the suppliers fault the prices droped. So I will just cry---that is until I get my 1G installed---then I will be happy agian!!!!!---That is untill DDR comes out!!

FOH, you aren't satisfied with the price you got, if there is a 10% restocking fee and a return limit of 15 days, do it! YOU CAN! I don't see why you wouldn't!

BTW, $529 for that chip was a rip off last week too...and the week before...and....

prices still dropping,,this is cool...it's about every couple hours or so Accubyte and pcCost always have a price war. There not at the top right now so look for the price to drop again very soon

peemo
A-Power.com in Vancouver has the 1Gig at $629.Can. and said the new reduced prices he will have up next week.

BTW, the prices have dropped another few bucks since I posted this thread. As of now:

Tbird 1.2GHz...$498 -- they're in Pricewatch's chart now!
Tbird 1.1GHz...$369
Tbird 1.0GHz...$272

(I'd still recommend the 800MHz 🙂)

WARNING!! Don't forget to check the online store via Reseller Ratings to avoid being scammed!

I think Amd is doing this to us on purpose so everyone can have SMP gigyhert systems this winter. 2 1000mhz cpu's for around 490 bucks 🙂, man i think i piss and sheeeeted in my pants!!! 😱

LOL@Remedy 😀 I hope they stay low when the 760MP comes out....I will hold out, maybe they will go lower...that will hold me till I can do dual stangs or hammers
