I am wondering what the default voltage is supposed to be to a 1.33ghz t-bird? My bios states the core voltage at 1.68v
Is this correct or is it supposed to be higher. I thought something like 7.50v?
Thanks

Can you trust the reading that is shown in the bios. My board is a MSI K7T Pro2-a ?
It says core voltage of 1.68v or 1.69v?
Could the power supply be a little weak and is not supplying enough to get the volteage up to specs at default setting?
It seems closer if I set the voltage manually.
Thanks for the help

Yes. That's the actual voltage being supplied to the chip.

Yes or No. It could be the power supply or it could be the MB is just a bit off in the voltage it supplies vs what's called for. Just up the voltage until BIOS agrees with the 1.75 that the chip wants. It's very hard to build a supply that can deliver exactly 1.75v, being a bit off is normal. Tweaking the voltages is called for quite often with MBs. Chances are it's the MB, if it was the PS you'd probably see the voltage difference in the 3v, 5v, and 12v lines.
