Help!
Hello everyone...
System as follows:
Creative modemblaster-PCI
Linksys NIC
Duron 600
Epox EP-8KTA Motherboard
Diamond Speedster A200 8meg AGP
IBM 15gig
basic system, not overclocking.
Tried Win98SE and Win2K
Here is the problem-
Computer will seemingly go to sleep at anytime, even when you are working. From there, it will not wake up without a restart and then, it might not want to restart and wake up for 24hours!
I have ditched the AGP and used a PCI card-no change
I have swapped power supplies, more juice...no change
I have verified cooling is in place and working, computer is great temp wise.
I have reinstalled Win98SE to no change.
I have installed WIN2K-no change
ANY IDEAS????
I am thinking maybe the HD is bad and causing power problems??? Sometimes the system will be on for a week without a problem, other times it dies within hours of being turned on. Sometimes it simply does not turn on.
