AMD SSE 3

Googer

I know It is supposed to be released in Q1 of 05, but exactly when in those first 4 months. I have been holding out on Winchester in order to get San Diego.

AFAIK, San Diego's (both single and dual core) along with Venice won't be released until mid-late Q2 2005. I remember seeing that roadmap somewhere. I dunno if it has chg'd by now so I can't be absolutely sure. Dual core Toledo should be somewhere during H2 2005, so don't expect it too soon.

PS: Probably a typo but there r 3 months in a quarter.

Damn these names change daily...I have a magazine here that syas its called the Toledo...san deigo sounds cooler though!!!

Well, from the road map I read, I remember distinctly that they mentioned that San Diego comes in both single and dual core. It sounded really weird at the time since its having the same name for two types of procs hence why it kinda stuck. But yeah, I remember them mentioning that Palermo is the Sempron equivalent and Toledo is definitely a dual core only which would be released not far off from when San Diego dual core is released.

I live in san diego and remember the AMD tour when it came here and they were throwing out shirts, hats, and cpu's into the audience.
it was awesome and i might hafta save up some mass dough for a dual core setup or something if the san diego cores are as insane as they could be.

Geeze, all of these names makes me glad I don't have Children! I cannot remember them all.

I have been hearing for sometime that San Deago will come out in the Q1 (Tomsharware?)
