Its weird. I was going to blame it on the 24h2 update but my laptop hasnt reset that setting?

Still I'm not sure that that setting did mess things up, but I am annoyed at Microsoft for resetting it.

Hmm, that is odd. Another thing you could try would be something like Winaerotweaker, which has a lot of options for easily finding and tweaking windows features and settings. There are other programs like this as well, I seem to remember Shutup10 as one of them.

This ended up not solving my issue and I had to downgrade my drivers. I'll stick with the earlier ones for a bit, I just have a thing about having the latest version of everything!

I'm hoping there is a ton of fixes done since its been awhile.

however my guts tell me they are working on the Launch drivers for RDNA4

Yeah I am surprised they haven't released an update with a STALKER 2 fix/optimization. I know the Geforce drivers had an update for that. Perhaps we will get that soon.

I've had that before (with more obscure hardware) but windows is usually fairly well behaved about not updating GPU drivers!
Pretty sure I've told windows not to do that and not to install related software. That said windows absolutely doesn't stick to what you tell it there!

I noticed the little restart icon in my taskbar this evening: turns out Windows decided, on its own to update the Intel graphics driver (since I have an i5-12400 and never disabled the integrated graphics). I also had previously turned off the "Let Windows find the driver" nonsense... seems it was re-enabled in one of the recent major updates. At least it hasn't messed with my AMD graphics driver.
