its listed under Socket A coolers but it says Socket 939 in description. I'm pretty sure its socket 939. The shipping really hurts this deal unless you are buying more than one like I did.

The Socket A version is pretty good per my experience. I'd give the 939 one a shot. Does it use the stock retention brackets? My only complaint with the Socket A version was that it required almost impossible-to-install tension on the clips. I had to have someone else hold one end down while I got the other end in.

i'm putting one together right now....with FX-55 and $366 8800GTS; total cost less than $700.
