I am not that sure if this is a hot deal or not. For $180 you get a decent CPU, and Mobo, plus a OS. If I was building a comp for a customer, I may very well go for this deal. Mobo is worth at least $50 I guess, CPU worth $80 I guess, and the OS worth $100?? I guess. So, aprrox $230 worth of hardware with a legit operating system for $180. Not to bad unless my cost figures are off.

I do know the board has ocing features. (Used one for a 3000+ A64 for a customer and it would run the cpu from 2ghz to 2.4ghz.) I do not remember how high the fsb will go though. It may be only 250mhz. If that is the case, the cpu can possibly be clocked at 2250mhz, which is still very nice speeds. Stock is 1800mhz. It would most likely use the newer .09 core. Even if it uses the older .13 core, it should be able to hit 2300-2400mhz fairly easy if the board will do it. IIRC the board didn';t like to use the 166 Memory Divider, but that was 9 months or more ago. They could have fixed it by now.

Well anyways, Seems like a good deal to me :)

Good deal. Onboard video might be nice tho so I wouldn't have to throw a gfx card in. Real good deal tho if you have an spare AGP card lying around.

Pretty hot deal. Yes, I thin kthe ECS boards can onl hit 250 FSB, but at 2250, the sempron will be more than enough for many games. Just stick a high end AGP card in there and you have yourself a midrange gaming rig.

This board doesn't have onboard video as far as I can see.

Even if the cores are .13, they still get to 2300-2400mhz fairly often. I would almost be positive that they will do the motherboards max fsb speed (250mhz I think).

The .09 cores adds maybe another 200-300mhz at the most. Of course the .09 cores runs cooler and have alittle better clock for clock speed, but nothing noticable. There is definitely nothing wrong with the older Sempron cores.
