What speed does CPUz say that your ram is running at? Also, what divider does it say for the memory? (AMD processors calculate the memory speed by dividing the processor speed by some number.) Also, what HTT multiplier are you using?

In case you haven't Overclocked an AMD chip before, here is a short guide on how to do it. http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=28&threadid=1497607 It is much different from an Intel overclock.

CPU-Z says the ram is running at 266. Is that correct?

The divider for my ram is 8.
The HT multi is 4x

OK, you want to multiply that value by 2 (for Double Data Rate) to get 532MHz. So that should be fine (actually pretty slow for your ram - you could raise the multiplier).

Your HT speed is at 270? That is actually pretty darn good. I didn't realize that the multiplier was so low, I was thinking you had a 9X multiplier (Which shows my reading comprehension skills). You may be able to crank a little more out of it by lowering th HTT multiplier to 3X, but I don't think you are going to get much more than what you got. It might not be worth trying. The newer steppings O/C better than mine does, but that is already much better than I am able to do with my Manchester chip. A 35% overclock is pretty good for an AMD chip with a locked multiplier.

thanks for the input. I'm just trying to get the max oc out of the chip b/c im using it my HTPC and its not enough right now to play 1080p. My current setup is a the sempron with a 8500gt. Plays 720p no problem but is choppy in some scenes of 1080p.
