3700x probably works as is but absolutely after a bios flash

Should be fine with the stock BIOS. Good CPU for the money. 3700x for games, multi-tasking, and light Pro work at home. Awesome value for 8 cores.

Newegg had this CPU recently for a similar price in a ShellShocker or sale flyer.

The TechDeals guy on YT, said that although the 5600X benchmarks better, he would still choose a Zen2 8C/16T over a Zen3 6C/12T, just because of "the user experience" of have 8 real, full cores, over 6 cores.

Edit: I have a (used) 3700X I bought off of someone here on the forums a little while back, I think that I paid more than this deal. I should drop it in after I rebuild my main rig with two new (to this rig) GPUs, and clean out my AIO LC.

I bought this CPU for $260 w/fs from newegg just over a year ago. At the time I remember thinking the price would probably go down more by black friday but I wouldn't have much time to do a build then. Boy did that ever not happen, seems I accidentally hit the bottom. But since when do prices of parts go UP? This is the best deal I've seen since then for sure though.
