this seems to be the hot topic here. I thought i would find a mega thread on 6870/6850 performance but instead i found TESSELATION discussion...

Back on topic: good improvements all around. I'll try these drives and report back

I have a 6870 and 1GB 460 on their way to me next week. Are these drivers the ones AMD is saying have fixes for the big stink up about Hawx 2 ?

I got a free copy of that game with the 460 purchase and noticed the benchmark is also available to download now. I'd like to compare the 6870, 460 and one of my 480s with the AMD fix.

I think it will either be a hotfix or come in 10.11

I think Scali will be a little bit happy.

I hope these drivers work with my setup though.. will Install and report after I get back home.

Does it fix the scaling issues present since 10.8?

It would be interesting to see someone show some results of 5870 & 5850 crossfire scaling with these new drivers. I know there was a set at some point where it was quite poor.

What is great is the 6870 and 6850 have some incredible scaling in Crossfire now. Crossfire is showing better scaling than SLI with the 6 series. It would be cool to see if these new drivers provided any improvements as a carry-down to the 5 series.

And hopefully the improved scaling on 6870 & 6850 is going to also be realized on the 6970, 6950 and the 6990.

I'm stuck on 10.7, but hopefully when my 6850 arrives it will be a moot point. I just can't stand those damn black bars.

At least this got rid of the sparkling textures, and black intermittent blinking screen on MoH for me. MP is running good for now, I need to test BC2 with it now.

Obviously the game was already playable but this improvement is great

Metro 2033 benchmark 1080p

10.9's 47.5 fps

10.10's 53.2fps

I was able to play L4D2 for about 3 hours last night with CF enabled and not a single crash with these drivers.

This installation files would NOT install the HDMI audio driver on my 2 cards. It was giving me a warning that the audio driver had not installed properly and sure enough, my second card HDMI audio out was not working. After several reboot and reinstall and out of desperation I updated the audio driver manually and it finally worked.

Everything appears to be working fine, even the under scan issue has been fixed.

Does this mean Morphological AA was backported to 5xxx? Seems like a great AA alternative for Eyefinity resolutions that get owned by real AA.

Do most people just install over their old drivers?

ALso, any fixes for Fallout Vegas and/or Fallout Vegas Crossfire support?
Civ 5 crossfire support?

Does the hotfix link work w/ 64 bit Win 7? I installed the base 10.10 from 10.9, and then applied the hotfix as linked on top of that.

I'd like someone else to confirm this but in WoW with the DX11 Console command on my 5850, I'm seeing a 30% increase in FPS with everything set to Ultra. Its insane.

I would like to know this as well since I'm stuck with 10.6...

Yes, the overscaling is fixed. It was also fixed in 10.9a. Unless urgent I tend to stick to WHQLs, I upgraded from 10.7 finally and 10.10 seems pretty good to me.
