I'm inclined to believe this is fake. First, the image isn't clean at all, it looks like it's been altered. It looks like the text has been pasted over another image.

Second of all, the Crysis Warhead scores for the GTX 570 are way off, often 20% or more below typical scores for those settings. It's possible that they are using a really stressful test, though.

3dMark11 is not representative of real world gaming, and quoting kitguru quoting Fudzilla is like dividing by 0

Hopefully for AMD it beats the 580, because right now at the egg they only have one brand in stock. Those things are selling well I guess. Not much time left to get them holiday $$$. Looking forward to the reviews tomorrow.

I think they usually go by 12:00AM PST?

Apparently they have supply issues, so it's not just selling well (how many $500 cards sell "well" anyways) - there just arent enough cards period.

It was compiled by neliz, but the settings are pretty stressful - look at the resolution / AA

Nice picture!

Excited to see reviews and some discussion about how the card stacks up. It's overdue IMO.

That's almost certainly rather a lot more HD6970's than they have GTX580s in stock.
They do have at least 50 GTX570s in stock though.

they sold 300 580.
more on order but not many cards to sell.

6900 series however is full house 😉

Where are those prices from? Overclockers uk doesn't have anything up for the 69xx series.

most likely the OcUK forums. Don't forget that the price rises in January are at least partly down to our VAT rates going from 17.5% to 20% 🙁

Edit: linky

Double Edit: From the thread

Thats just 6970's and only 1/3rd of what we have in stock for launch.

For those thinking 6950, well I have nearly 1000pc of those in stock ready for launch as well.

A lot of people doubted whether ATI can pull it off, thinking they had yield issues and whatever. Stocks are fine.

The doubt starts here.

AMD's upcoming video cards, code-named Cayman, have been delayed about three weeks. The Radeon 6970 and 6950 video cards were originally supposed to be available sometime in November; however, Advanced Micro Devices will launch the cards during the week of December 13th. While this delay might hurt holiday sales, AMD is tight lipped as to its reasoning.
