AMD R7 265 and R7 260 reviews

If I can get a 265 (renamed 7850) for $150... count me in for a few, especially if their scrypt mining performance matches or exceeds their predecessors, two of which I have maxed out around 420kH/s. :awe:

Sipping only 8W more (under load) than a 260x... Impressive to say the least.

Perhaps I've been out of the low end loop but it looks like there are a couple new SKUs coming. Pitcairn with a lower price.

LOL, you've got to go to the main Anandtech page more often!

Here are some more reviews:

Pretty much just an OC'd 7850. My concern with these reviews is that they are on a product that is not yet shipping, and won't be for at least two more weeks. We've seen manufacturers get into trouble before when doing that...

P.S. Like the sig. 😉

That's not a good deal. Newegg used to have 7870's for $145. They sell concurrently on ebay, you can see the old listing still.

That was my first thought, "but how does it mine". 😉

Thanks, and yeah I do need to visit it more often. It is strange they "review" it so far in advance when it is nothing new but just a revised and slightly tweaked card which has been on the market for a long time (with a new price).

To be fair it's hard to compare directly with some deals of previous cards. I agree with the sentiment anyway.

Nice review...the new card(s) certainly "ridicule" the NV cards tested.
AMD 1 NV 0

Agreed, Nvidia seems to be going through a drought in the mid-range gaming cards.

Seems the GTX 650 Ti Boost is gone and the prices of the anemic GTX 650 cards has gone way up.

They really have nothing to compete with against AMD in the $100-$179 range. Hoping the GTX 750 Ti at least comes out soon at a decent price.
