I have an AMD K6/2 400 I am not using right now, I have heard there are mods that include soldering some pins together to overclock the crap out of it. Has anyone heard of this? First off, I dont care if I burn it or the motherboard its on up, I just want to experiment with it,its on a crash box I never use. I had never heard of soldering pins on a processor before, but a few reliable sources I have talked to have, but they advised against it, of course. I just want to try this out, see what it does. Any info will help.

I am not sure, it may be for motherboards that dont have high multilpliers or bus speed, I am not sure, It may be in addition to traditional overclocking.

Actually, I set the multiplier to 2, this tells the AMD to use 6x. I am just wondering about this mod of soldering pins together, I am wondering if it is in addition to the tradional method of OC, or a just another method of OC. I have never heard of this, and It has me curios, I am sure its a bad idea, but hey, why not try it, see what I can push?
