AMD quarterly results

AMD sold $681 million dollars worth of processors, they claim 8 million processors a record for the year.

This is either good or bad. ASP is $85.12 which is not break even, which supposedly is about $100 for them., but they did sell more

Glad I sold all my AMD shares yesterday when they were up. I bought all my AMD shares back today dirt cheap 😀

<< damn AMD, their loss and supposed "cautious warning" about the tech sector is bringing the market down today. >>

What? The NASDAQ was down less than .05% today. 😕 Besides, AMD isn't a big enough company to affect the NASDAQ all that much. Companies like IBM, Cisco, and Intel are some of the big movers.

It's a very weak PC and semiconductor market, even bigger companies like Motorola, Compaq, etc. etc. are losing money. Still, AMD really didn't do that poor in Q1 given the current market conditions. They only had a net loss of $9.2 million, which is hardly much considering they have over $1.3 billion in the bank (and that doesn't include their liquidity value btw).

Yikes! You're a stronger man than I am. I could never be a day trader. :Q
