AMD Processor and Nvidia Cards?

Sup all... I am wondering if the mixture of AMD processor and Nvidia cards are slowly dying? Considering that now AMD makes everything for ATI like cards, and apparently Intel start looking at nvidia like a girlfriend...

How much time it will remaing until we only see nforce and SLI boards only for Intel processors.. and only crossfire boards for AMD?????

Intel is like a dude who gives no crap about anyone :! they have no remorse , no emotion or compassion :! The fav intel policy is "USE and ABUSE". Anyways in the next few years they will spend some considerable cash in R&D in GPU/CPU hybrid processor which then they will forget about the high end GPU market as it doesn't make the money that they think is worth the investment. Nvidia will very soon become a motherboard and high end GPU company. Also their is alot of hatred amounts Intel and Nvidia. Also you will more likely see Crossfire and SLI work on both Nvidia/AMD/Intel board as single standard.

Surprisingly enough, you don't see SLI support at all on Intel chipsets unless you look at the ridiculously expensive Skulltrail platform. Intel has always supported Crossfire instead (I'm amazed they have continued this support after AMD bought ATi).

You have to get an nVidia chipset board if you want SLI with an Intel chip.

I always thought it would have made a lot more sense for AMD to buy nVidia because the nVidia chipsets work great with AMD processors.

This is really Nvidia's fault in any case. SLI is perfectly compatible with the other chipsets in terms of the hardware, but the Nvidia graphics drivers block them.

AMD is really intel wanna be.

Sure Intel had some set backs with the P4 architecture but Intel always were the performance leaders and AMD clones Intel technology.

Proof? Anyone who's lived for more than 20 years has enough "proof"... Intel has always had the performance crown, AMD had a magnificent architecture with their Athlon 64 processors but that's it, they've always stepped on the toes of Intel apart from the P4 screw-up days.

Intel is a great company, they have no stupid impositions, no senseless limitations and they have great prices and products, AMD is a good company as well, it has good products and Phenom processors are a big step-up, their products are just a tad behind Intel and NVIDIA right now.

Uhh? Always? Doesn't anyone remember the race to 1 Ghz in which Intel tried to cheat and fell on its face? Also, the Athlons were the choice for gamers those days. Intel ate crow with the Itanium and had to totally "steal" and "clone" AMD64 in order to save face and get back into the game. Just because people might not remember the past doesnt' meant you can say whatever you want.

Intel chipsets are just better, period. It's only better to use a Nvidia chipset if you want SLI.

See Intel tries something new like the p4 architecture that's why they are leaders. So P4 flopped and didn't turn the way they had intended. When Intel came back and beefed up p3 architecture AMD had no play. AMD athlon just imitates the p3 architecture.

Always would mean 100% of the time. AMD had the performance crown during the later P4 era when the Athlon64 was outperforming the Prescott P4s, hence Intel has not always held the performance crown. You probably would want "Intel has almost always had the performance crown".
