ajump.com has the lowest, but add a couple bucks and mwave or zipzoomfly can give you piece of mind. i hope this is an indication of a price drop. x2 to follow?

Add to it the Abit M/B at ZipZommFly for 49.99 and you have your self a pretty decent system!

Now we just need fry's to bring out the combo's for $79.99 or $99.99!!

RAM fluctuates, but as a whole CPU prices go steadily downward. There might be small ups and downs, but a month from now the price of any mainstream CPU will be lower, a month later it'll be lower still and a month later lower again.

I think RAM might fluctuate more because there are many manufacturers, each with their own inventory issues. Whereas CPU inventories are probably more tightly controlled by Intel and AMD. I think.

There are BP and BW models. I would Almost bet that the BW models have DSL Silicon. Which will help to get Higher frequencys 🙂

Great prices, but I'm not buying any new hardware until I find one game that my 2500+ and Radeon 9800 pro can't handle. So far is has taken on all challengers, Oblivion, HL2, etc... were no match.

Aw come on! Be an enthusiast! Think about the extra WU you can get @folding.

BTW, if you saw what Oblivion looked like at 1920x1200 with HDR on you'd chuck that 9800 out the window. Try BF2 with that card....

hehe- lol. He IS right tho. I find a 2500+ barton (especially one easy OC'd to 3200+) and a 9800pro/xt, pretty much still handles everything well. I am mad because I thought I got a good deal on 2 a643000-retail939venice at 104ea shipped a couple weeks ago and now this mess happens. DAMN YOU MR BAD TIMING!
