AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz BE Retail Box...$149 w/free ship!!

It's $169.99 w/5.99 shipping at Newegg, I just purchased one from Buy.com

its actually 149.99 at newegg +shipping right now.

i think it was only 169.99 briefly when newegg decided to screw people who were early buyers and up the price with their automatic price algorithms.

I also think Newegg saw that others were getting them in stock and decided they should be more competitive price wise. Still Buy.com was a better deal. My total was 147.98

144.99 with a 5.00 new customer coupon and 2.99 second day shipping.

Saw all in all others have better deals than Newegg right now.

This post in CPUs and Overclocking by new member, ldl2111 could make it an even more interesting deal. 😎

Yea, I think the 4th core unlock works on Biostar boards only so YMMV. I picked up that Biostar board Funboy was pimping a few weeks back, so I'm going to give this a try. Toms Hardware has an article on it. And thanks OP, I was one of those initial lurkers 😉 Would of preferred to buy at the Egg.... that blows if their pricing algorithm really inflates the prices on things when they first come out. Going to be more cautious shopping there in the future.
