Sometimes when I restart my windows 7, it shows only 1 core available. I have to restart it again to have all 3 cores. Is this my processor problem or Windows? It happens in Win 7 build 7226 and Win 7 7600. Any idea why?

7600 is the final RTM windows 7.. I still get that problem in this.

would there be a problem with compatibility issues with the mobo & proc?

Check msconfig, boot tab, advanced options button, check if the number of processors checkbox is checked, if not, check it and set it to 3, if it is on and set to 3, try un-checking it.

yeah I've look into that. It's not that problem. I dont know under what circumstances this problem will arise, I've experienced it couple times.

This is the first I have ever heard of anything like this.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS for your mobo.
If you have that already, might sound silly, but try reseating your CPU.

This happens when I choose RESTART. It happens again. Never happens when I do SHUT DOWN. Probably Windows 7 ?
