There is an option in the CCC to test your computer and have the utility auto-detect the best clocks for the setup. Is this tuner accurate and effective? Does anyone have experience with it?

I used the AutoTune option on a Sapphire HD5670 just to see what would happen. The card's defaults are 775mhz GPU and 950mhz Memory. After about an hour, AutoTune said that the card had a stable overclock of 840/1170. That's a pretty decent jump so I was excited...until I actually opened a game and it crashed almost immediately. Same thing with benchmarks, so I backed the overclock down to 820/1140 and it still crashed in everything. After some experimenting I found that the card isn't stable any higher than 805/1070 (and it gets really hot at those settings so I only use it for the rare game that actually needs it). It's still a mild overclock, but a far cry from what the AutoTune utility said that the card could do.
