AMD or Intel ?

I have an AMD XP2500 w/512MB of pc2700. I wish to upgrade but am not sure as to what (AMD AM2 3500,Intel Pentium D, Conroe). I will also need a new MOBO and DDR2 RAM. I don't O/C and I don't play many games - just simple ones. Whicg direction should I go? What is better for my purposes? Is a 6150 board better? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Defintely go Conroe.

A board with any integrated chipset should be fine, though for gaming I'd just pick the 6150 cause it's a Geforce

find the motherboard that better fits what you want and put the memory and the cpu that fit on it. Intel or AMD are plenty sufficient for normal use...

ofcourse Intel Core 2 its the fastest price performance cpu out there right now...
