I suppose one could think of comparing GHz itself (especially across different microarchitectures like P6, K7, K8, etc.) as comparing how high various car engines' RPMs are... it does you no good unless the nuts and bolts of the damn thing can harness that many revolutions per minute and create power (and then you have to have torque, etc. to make that effective).

(If I misunderstood a fundamental thing about automobiles, I apologize. I'm 14 and a freshman in high school, and I don't have to worry about this stuff for another couple of years.)

WHat??? Yes it does... WHy do you think amd needs less ghz to perform the same even better? it uses a 1 way transfer rate of electrons, where the intel uses a two-way... in other words it needs more power to transfer the electrons while amd does not.... (Who knows maybe im wrong, you guys are all engineers)
No, it's that the AMD uses faster electrons.

Exactly! Everybody knows that AMD uses Quantons, while Intel uses the laughable Tritons. Haha, those fools!

Intel runs Windoze while AMD runs better OS. AMD is better.

blackinches would like to know what that means.

KoolDrew thinks you need to stop talking in third person.
