AMD or INTEL CORE DUO

Probably you have asked this question million times --
I want to know if I should go for Core Duo Intel or AMD FX or any other processor.

I want this system for Home use and have some extra bucks to put in.

A sincere suggestion is needed and Quickly please..

Core Duo is the only CPU I can really recommend.

Go for broke and get the QX6700 quad core + 4GB of PC2 1066 RAM.

You are probably best off buying an Intel Conroe.

If you already have 2GB of decent PC3200 DDR, then a socket 939 AMD X2 rig will get you some nice bang for the buck.
