I ordered an Abit KN8 Ultra ($99.99) with an OEM Opteron 144 ($130.75) on Jan. 27th and received the order on Jan. 31. I did not purchase a heat sink... actually I sent them an email and asked them to just test the combo with one of the heat sinks they had in their lab, or send the parts in their boxes untested. Well, they went ahead and shipped me the combo with the heatsink installed... so, free heatsink for me! The mobo came in the box with all the specified cables, accessories, etc.
My experience with them was nothing but positive, and $130 is a great price for the Opty' 144s. By the way, the Opteron 144 I received is stepping "CAB2E"
Cheers!

QFT. I know some sites (what was it, surpluscomputers) that sell OEM or sleeve/jewel case older versions for around that price. This is the newest version and retail box to boot!
$130 for an Opty... thought I was missing the boat earlier, now may have to jump in... I don't need this though... gah!!!

Clocked at 2.5GHz and still on the ECS board. That's in my main rig (ignore note in pic). This deal is tempting for my gaming rig.
I don't need this and it certainly won't be much of an upgrade unless I spring for a 7800GT along with it, but gosh darn I want it. Heck, my x2 @2.5GHz with 2GB dual channel doesn't feel much different to me than my socket 754 Newcastle @2.4GHz with 1GB single channel (underclocked to DDR356). That upgrade was worthy because I freed up my AGP 6800GT for my gaming rig, which used to have an FX5900XT. THAT was a worthy and noticeable upgrade.
Sheesh, few minutes ago I just ordered a refurb X800GTO 256MB for $100 shipped, just in case I get new stuff. GAH! Stop the insanity! (that little voice in my head says "you really want it...")

Only current CPU that lets you increase multiplier is the FX. At 288MHz HTT run your memory at 2/3 ratio (often says 133 or 266 in BIOS). That way your RAM will be running almost exactly at DDR400 (384 to be exact, but close enough).
