I care about the GPU boost more than the CPU, frankly. A 28nm GloFo bulk should be able to match TSMC's 28nm bulk and give us 1GHz boost clocks. Anything significantly lower will be a disappointment.

Yes hopefully the Hawaii derived iGPU has similar clock boost as R9 series. R9 has really low base clock at which it almost never sits but is clocked much higher in most games.

Another ES at Geekbench..

Compared to Trinity :

Normalizing frequency difference is 23% in the total score.
Nope.. That is Piledriver core. Just check the L1 Instr. cache size whenever you see "Bantry" submission.
L1 Instruction Cache 64 KB x 2 L1 Data Cache 16 KB x 4 L2 Cache 2048 KB x 2
SR core like in recent geekbench submissions has L1 instr. cache with the size of 96KB per module, a 50% increase over PD.

Bantry is platform name, both PD and SR cores are listed under its name.

My bad , surely a richland given that it s a ES with a different stepping.

There are already AAA games with TrueAudio comming, like new Thief.
Both consoles have it so... :whiste:
Forza 5 seems to be using TrueAudio tech, but it is xbone exclusive ;/

TrueAudio doesn't need that amd hardware bit you find in some R series graphics card and kaveri. The sound simulation can be done on CPU, if you have enough FLOPS to throw at it.

yes but thats really not how it works, when a company works on a PC game or a PC port what it really matters is market share, unless there are money placed on it by AMD, no ones cares to support a tech that only the minority have it and complicate it on performance side for others.

Kaveri supporting all those tech is to persuade more devs to support it, there will be tiles that will support it, i have no dubt about that, its just no enoght to be significant right now for Kaveri, maybe later, right now bring on CPU and IGP performance.
