AMD needs good ram?

What kind of ram do AMD chips need? I've gots me a celeron system 🙁 so i wouldn't know.. my cousin recently built a tbird system and he just bought some generic pc100 ram at the computer show and his computer has problems up the butt... so i'm just wondering whats up with this "amd tested" ram and stuff? Thanks!

Why would someone buy cheap 100 ram ata show and expect it to perform when it's pretty common knowledge that cheap ram can affect performance? Seems like a gamble at best
