AMD ME, I went to the AMD Extreme Performance Project 2 tonight

it was held out that Ice House(rave club). I manage to get in has a system's solutions partner . recieved a VIP badge and some free stuff to be listed below.

I didn't win a free processor.

I embarassed myself pretty good.
They ask, what is AMD name for the power saving technology for laptops. I blurted out speed step instead of power now

Best answer during the questions ask for the Build off contest.

Where is AMD headquarters located.
Girl ( with no pc knowledge): In a building

She got a standing ovation for that one.

They also gave away 2500 for the best PC built for under 750. i had 4 chances to win CPU has VIP and struck out three times. But I did get some free stuff

2 AMD T-shirts
2 AMD hats
3 AMD packets of mints
1 AMD bag
1 AMD VIP badge
1 CD full of stuff

not to mention the good food and drinks they had for us early birds (ahem VIP)

Didn't bring my dig cam though there was some hot chicks there to

Went to the EP2 in San Diego and scored a 2100+ CPU..

Did you happen to know what CPUs they were giving out there?

At the Battle of the Boxes there, they had a $600 limit and $300 was used up already..

The questions were easy though.. I would have been in the showdown if I was selected.. I knew the first 5.

I yelled speed step instead of power now there too.. so don't feel too bad..

I went to the one here in Atlanta last night. Didn't win anything but a t-shirt. Still had a lotta fun though. I know 1 thing, i woulda scored the $2500 prize in the battle of the boxes if I had made it on stage though. The questions were too easy and I know I woulda outbenched the guy tha won.
