Well, friends going away for school, and I'm gonna get him a really small computer so he doesn't have to lug it around..

I'm interested in building a Duron 950 with one of those integrated mobo, sound/video/nic, etc. no nic since most board doesn't have it..

any suggestions on which smaller mobo is good ?

not much game playing except for something like starcraft, no fps, general web surfing and report stuff..

thanks

I just built a computer using an ECS K7VZM (micro-ATX) mobo w/ integrated sound and LAN. This computer is ROCK SOLID, no problems whatsoever. I think ECS has a version of the motherboard with onboard sound,LAN,and Video, but I'm not sure about that. Anyway, I'm building another computer in a few weeks, and I'm using the K7VZM mobo again. Great product, gret price (around $62 US).

TCWO has a Biostar microATX board for $79. It has onboard sound and video through the Via KLE133 chipset. No NIC but you can add that in later with a PCI card. I haven't used this particular board, but I've used several other Biostar models and they've been okay performers and very stable. I think cost-effective is a good word to describe them. You won't get the best performance in the world, but the price is right. Another note: there are no multiplier adjustments on the board IIRC.
