Ladies and gentlemen, meet Radeon Pro Duo.

Radeon Pro Duo is dual-Fiji Radeon graphics cards equipped with 8192 Stream Processors and 8GB HBM memory. It has four display connectors, three 8pin power connectors and AIO cooling like Fury X2. No detailed specs as of yet, so stay tuned.

Sick!! They could have called it the Radeon 8K and gotten away with it 😀

But isn't this the Fury X2? Wording above from the article is confusing.

Really? "Officially" launching a product that was unofficially launched last June at E3:

"the company boasted its dual Fiji GPUs with High Bandwidth Memory can handle 4K gaming without issue."

Yet, still not able to reveal specs? They can't possibly still be in flex at this point. Only AMD....

The long delayed Fury X2. Whatever. nothing special. $1500, too? No thanks. Bring on Polaris. I really, really want to push 4k on a single card.

Seems like an utterly retarded time to launch an X2 card. I mean, like three months until next gen launch, right? And they drop a $1500 turd in the punch bowl expecting people to buy?

Interesting cooling layout under the shroud.

I read it's going to be $1499, which is a bit steep IMO. But I always think that. 😀

The roadmap from their presentation makes it pretty clear that Polaris won't be their high-performance big chip, so this is likely the holdover until next year. The price tag is ridiculous, but that's what you get for high end parts.

OK I have to admit, despite my previous hatred of this card before it even existed, it looks badass and I LOVE that name. Radeon Pro Duo? That's sick. Also, the way AMD cards have good longevity this one should do well. The only thing I can't get over is the 4GB of ram though. That's just not enough IMO. Looking forward to benchies. That rig they have featured looks PUNCH MY BALLS awesome though.

Due to the focus on VR, the Pro Duo makes some sense, especially if Crimson drivers for this card are specially tweaked for dual-monitor VR headsets where each GPU can dedicate itself to one monitor. But yes, announcing right before Polaris is stupid too, good way to take the wind out of your new products or to hear resounding "mehs" from a crowd that came to see Polaris.

Can't believe they are going with $1500. I'm sure it'll be at $700 soon enough like the 295X2.

Yeah, doesn't make sense really, this late into the gen, about to be super-ceded by next-gen's mid-range.

I mean 2x Polaris 10 will give better longevity and heaps better perf/w, much cheaper to boot.

Why would any gamer even consider Fury X2 now at that price? 😵

It should only be limited to OEM system builders, for "VR Ready" rigs where they can charge extra for the people who pay for new toys like VR headsets.

Shortest dual GPU card. It is as long as a R9 290x. Maybe shorter.
Price is high, but it is expected with dual GPU cards.
Look is pretty neat.
4GB is not enough but we don't know what is enough with VR.
Great Output ports (3x DP)
Probably no HDMI 2.0 (in 2016)

Two hdmi and 2dp
8gb of memory. Look closely at the pics from the link the OP put up😀

Maybe it is special. Maybe this is the first 8GB hbm card. That would be great for 4k.

What if we don't get flagship GPU replacements until 2017? This thing might have a good 9-10 months of domination.

2 120 rads?

would rather 1 240...

i guess case compatibility above all else.

or are the hoses from the front going out the back?

nvm. 1 120.

i derped.
