AMD Kyoto reviews?

When will Anandtech finally do an AMD Kyoto review? I would like to look at Anandtech for real IT workload reviews but I guess they aren't interested?
 
Its the "Celeron" edition of Opterons. Hardware sites rarely review lowend. I assume you have to settle for the real Opterons/Xeons reviews for your IT workloads.

Don't take that the wrong way but these CPU's should play a huge role in the cloud. I can go into more detail but I would prefer to do so over a PM.

I do not feel entitled. I just believe that Anandtech reviews are superior to all others so I tend to look at them as evidence to move one way or another in the enterprise space.
 
It's just a 4 core kabini. It's going to have the same performance as an A6-5200. It is only useful to someone who can make use of its 128 sp gpu. But who in the server world is going to do that?

The X1150 has no gpu. But it is such a cheap and underpowered part that it makes no sense to put it on a server board that costs several multiples of the cost of the cpu itself. What AMD should have done was place 16 of these onto one die and sell it as a 64 core server chip. Minus all the gpu transistors of course. Then it would have enough value to make it actually worth putting onto a $300 server motherboard and attaching $300+ worth of RAM to it. As it stands it makes absolutely no sense to bolt a $60 part onto hardware that is worth 10 times as much.

Sorry if I was rude. My point was just that these review sites are limited on time and generally only review products sent to them.

The way you posed your question, "When will Anandtech," rather than "Will Anandtech," made it seem like you were expecting a review. Since Kyoto is a relatively niche product, it's unlikely you'll see a review, and unlikely AMD will send AnandTech a sample. So if you'd like to see a review, perhaps you should provide AnandTech with a sample. Otherwise, you'll just have to extrapolate based what is known about the product.

Microservers doesnt mean they are cloud beneficial. There is another thread about Calxeda if you are in doubt.

We can discuss over PM if you would like but that's not the use case for cloud applications. Anyways, it would be the same as the A6-5200?
