It's tempting at prices like this... the concept of a totally useable all in one, tiny little pc is calling my name.

I might just have to... it'd be the first AMD product I've purchased in about 10 years. :D

none in stock. more interested in the 7600 but bundle pricing might bring the 7700 down to the lower price. underclock it to match the 7600 maybe.

board is $65 shipped from newegg so $100 for the 7850 is a bit optimistic, imho.

Hmm, no HDMI port on the Asus A55BM bundle! Will a DVI-to-HDMI adapter carry audio though it?

At $140 though, that 6800k combo is a pretty sweet deal too despite having no upgrade path. Is Excavator going to really impress you think?

I will be honest though, if I'm going to spend $200 on a combo deal, I might opt for the Intel i5-3570k combo for $205 on the Intel bundles page. It's cheap, also has no HDMI, and I wouldn't be able to overclock, but it'd have a lot more horsepower that's for sure.

http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx

With motherboard bundles, Microcenter is effectively pricing the AMD Kaveri at about $100 with Asus A55BM-E FM2+ and Battlefield 4 game. This may be best value for 7850k and 7700k APUis, depending on testing performance with different motherboards that can post comparable benchmarks.

Cheapest bundle with a10-7850k = $200

Cheapest bundle with a10-6800k = $140.

Its the most expensive bundle on the page with the exception of the 8350.

I don't see BF4.

The DVI port will not integrate audio into it, so I dont believe there is anyway to get audio through that port. Also the i5 3570k is more tempting at $205. Honestly, Kaveri is fun if you wanna do some light gaming but other than that its useless.

Awesome, but I'd only want this with a m-itx board.... Not seeing any of those on the list.

I have a I5 3570K and was thinking about the AMD A10-7850K (if it is even worth it). My reason is I don't really do alot of heavy tasks as i thought i would be doing with my I5. Mostly what I do is YouTube at 1080p and some light gaming once in while and school work. Would this A10-7850K be good enough paired with a HAWX 7870 for crossfire (if possible)? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you already have the HD7870 there is no point on going to Kaveri. Even if you dont have the HD7870, just buy one and use your existing Core i5.
Unless you want to go with a mini-iTX mobo and slim SFF case then the A8-7600 will be the best choice.

I forgot to say that I do have the MSI 7870, and was also thinking about going to a ITX form factor. Thanks again!

MiniITX is no hinderance for a discrete GPU.

At best you only need a MiniITX LGA1155 board and a MiniITX case with your current system. Plus Kaveri CPU wise would be a huge downgrade from your i5.

I don't understand the math here. The cpu is $179.99. You get a free BF4 code with purchase. I just checked ebay. These codes sell for between $20 and $30 there, so let's use the middle of $25, which seems to be the average.
$179.99 - $25 = $154.99

I am not impressed and very misleading post there OP.

Where can you buy BF4 basic key for 25$ on ebay? The price is above 40$ for straight purchase. I don't count the auction deals since nobody knows where the end price will land.

You also get a discount on the board, maybe he was taking that into account as well VS buying from newegg or others.

You can add any board. When I got one of their deals I got the a board not on their list but still got the discount.

Ah, nice! That makes this a much more tempting offer then. Shame I'm not in the US.

Well this is hit and miss then. Finding those is very hard. I'm going by the retail price of BF4 key, the price you'd had to pay if you want to buy BF4 from regular online key stores or origin.

The deals I posted are a bit hit and miss, but you can do better than retail right now if you want. There are plenty available.

Item number: 141167136921
Buy it Now, $34.99, free shipping, 7 available

Item number: 171217832885
Buy it Now, $29.99, free shipping

Item number: 251420382358
Buy it Now, $32.99, free shipping

If someone is planning on selling their BF4 key to help reduce the overall out of pocket expense of an upgrade don't expect to get more than $35. You will not get full retail for the code, that's for sure. Sold codes on ebay is proof enough of that.

OK, plenty of a10 deals, but I can't find a single a8-7600 offer. Why is that? Am I missing something?

A8-7600 is not released yet, its a Q1 2014 launch. The only Kaveri released as of the 14th of Jan are the 7700K and 7850K.

Edit: Just to inform that both 7700K and 7850K can also work at 45W and 64W TDP.

So, are those the same die chips, but with fused off GPU cores and lower clocks?
