My uncle just upgraded an old Socket 7 board with an AMD K6-2 500MHz CPU, but when he plays RealVideo files, the heatsink becomes too hot to touch and he gets a bunch of BSODs. Will socket A/370 heatsinks work on Socket 7? They look about the same size to me, and I'm thinking that the heatsinks with a single clip will work. Has anybody tried this before? I can't find any socket 7 HSFs that look like they'll be good enough to handle the K6-2. Thanks in advance!

Yep, they'll work. Perfect use for a crappy old Athlon heatsink.

Exactly, I have a Thermaltake orb that was bad on a duron on a k62-500. The fit isn't perfect, but it's sufficient.
