Hyper transport is similiar to a FSB however it is the rate at which the CPU communicates with other devices in the system. It has nothing to do with your network.

Abits always report higher than the actual temp, I'm using an Asus P4C800-E, and yes i have very good case airflow. I use 4 Panaflo L1A 80mm fans running @ 1/2 speed (inaudibly quiet 😀).
