Yeah, but we have created a monster......Did you hear about the missile to satellite test last friday? They already have a monster army build up and we continue to support their growth.....Scary....

It's only scary because it's not us doing it, human paranoia. If your own country blew up their own satellite you wouldn't think twice. We continue to support their growth because we have no good reason not to. This millenium is certainly not the time to distance ourselves from our neighbours. China's economic explosion can be the best thing that's ever happened to the industrial world. They blew up one of their own satellites, so what, it's their satellite. The world would be a much better place if we followed in China's footsteps and only blew up what's ours.

Nanostuff... all the respect to you man, but you have got to be out of your mind. China, let me remind you is still a Communistic state. I hope to God we never follow in anything like China's footsteps.

If you want that level of Performance and Power Consumption, there's already VIA/Cyrix processors available.

This chip won't excite most AT'ers .. but hey, you gotta admit, if they can make these things for just a few $ US, they will save big vs. buying from Intel/AMD.

It's not going to be significantly cheaper than existing low power solutions like the Via chips and the AMD Geode. The main advantage for the chinese is that they won't be as reliant on western technology.
