Glue marks as in the black sealant? It's present even with solder. I used a blow torch on my Q6600, one of the first CPU's to utilize solder suspended by four paper thin razor blades and it came right off. Improved temps, lower volts, higher clocks even further than the IHS lapped to 2000 grit. IHS are an impedance to cooling :twisted:Yeah, the FX 6300 is not integrated with a GPU to make an APU.
I'm not sure it is soldered, one way to find out is by taking a close look at the 6300 itself and see if there are any "glue marks" at the base of the IHS.
