Amd Fan Question

I have the original fan that cam with my AMD cpu, I finely stopped the other day. And I thought I read somewhere that AMD will replace them for free if they go out. Can any one confirm this? If so how do I get it replaced

2) strap on nice case fan
3) .....
4) profit!
