Until I see it in action, I will withhold my excitement. Could be amazeballs, could fizzle.

EDIT: I would love to see how many GPUs this would apply.

Positive comments section so far. Graham Wihlidal works for Bioware. Jasper Bekkers worked for EA/DICE and currently works for OTOY.

Doesn't this apply to DX11 also? Or was it just not mentioned as it's old tech.

My guess is all or most GCN GPUs.

AMD has really improved on how they give new options for developers and share information in general.
Good of AMD to expose more features already on consoles ...
Indeed.
And we can expect more exposing in future.
