I believe that my rebate was sent in around the 18th of december, not positive though, on a sad note it appears that I have lost all paperwork for this rebate(during a cleaning spree while moving furniture for the wife)..So now it's really not looking good for me.:( oh and napta, my machine is solid...if you are having some problems what temps are you running, and what PS are you using?

I'm running an ANTEC 1035B Case w/350 watt atx power supply, came with the case. It's temperature is running at 53 C for the CPU and 27C for the MB. I'm just using the generic fan, and I'm getting the windows XP blue screen more and more saying that it must shut down to prevent damage to my computer. Heat issue? I'm using the PC2100 DDR from Kingston that came with it, also, I have Live sound card, Radeon AIW, 24X TDK burner, 16X toshiba DVD, 30gb 7.2K HD. Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably a heat issue. Make sure you're not trying to overclock it. Also check voltage settings and whatever settings for the FSB and the multiplier may be in the BIOS, if any.

I know from XPerience that WinXP doesn't like overclocked systems as much as Win2k and other previous versions of Windows.

I'm not overclocking at all. For those who have installed this setup with the fan that came with it, can you tell me what temperature you're reading. I'm just trying to narrow down teh possible issues. Thanks.

I see this thread is turning into something other than this Hot Deal. Regardless, I've found some other decent retail employee deals. If anyone works at Best Buy, check your tagzone's accommodations. You can find companies such as Altec Lansing, Creative, and Guillemont. I'm looking in to the Game Theatre XP right now for $65 + shipping. It's about 50% off for us retailers. If anyone else wants to know more, PM me.

also, some of the other companies give an employee MIR, not discount on their products.

Hey guys.......I passed the quiz, but I dont have enough cash to get the CPU combo. I saw that they have an AOPEN Geforce2 Ti 64MB for $119.99.

I am in need of a new video card (my Riva 128 just isnt cutting it anymore:p). Is that a really good price for the GF2 Ti?

Also, where is the rebate form that is valid if you purchase the combo now? The only one I can find expires on 12/31/01.

I think that the deal is dead, I haven't seen any indicator of an expanded time limit..I don't know why you would want a gf2 ti, why not go over to the fs/ft forum and pick up a gf3 ti 200 or gf3 board for another 50.00?

Quick question about the rebate form... What do I attach for "shipping information (UPC, etc.)" or whatever it's asking for? Just cut the barcodes, etc., from the box and attach it?

I finally got around to putting together my new computer with the EPP barebones. Unfortunately I received something that didn't work. The CPU was dead and didn't post at all.

Well, it took sometime to get my account pulled up since I didn't have the order number. But in the end they are crediting my account for the old one and sending me a new one. Hope this one works, unlike the first.

What is the status of everyone who sent in the rebate?

Mine says:
Status: Rebate Entered On-line, Awaiting Paperwork
Status Detail: We have received your online rebate submission and are waiting to receive the supporting paperwork. Upon receipt of your documents, we will begin processing your rebate.

I sent it on 12/31

You guys got a great deal and to those of you who don't get a rebate don't feel too bad. I paid $475 for my A7V266-XP1600+ and 512mb ddr 3 months ago.

I have really gotten to know and like this mobo..its a great OCer and stable as heck even under extreme OCing conditions. The A7V266 was the fastest and most mature KT266 board ever made.
The board does not accuratly read temps so do not sweat 53c proc temps...start worrying if you get over 63c and even then you will still be stable until you get around 70c..however your proc should stay around 42c-57c so I doubt you will ever see such temps.
The inaccurate readings are from the temp sensor itself and not the asus probe software so no matter what software you choose it will read high....again don't sweat it ,mine has been running nearly non-stop for over 3 months OCed ....I should also add that I use a $7 Coolermaster fan and HS .
E-mail me if you would like a few tweaking tips on board ..especially if you are using a retail Radeon 8500 card.

System
A7V266
Antec SX830
512mb DDR
Radeon 8500 Retail
20x Aopen CD Burner
Windows XP Pro

What the heck..
I got my original rebate envelope sent to McAllen, Tx 78501 and it winds up at my door
almost 1 month after I sent it.

I called the post office and they said 78501 is wrong for PO Box 9710 (for the rebates)
I am told it's 78502 now.. and nothing they can do about it.
All my envelope said on it was a yellow sticker with the words 'zone seperator' on it.

I called the info # for AMD and their rebates.. and they said to resubmit it to a Coppell, Tx address..
and include a letter about what happened.. I am also going to put my orig envelope with its
postmark dates.. since it has now been exactly a month since I sent the orig. letter off., and
30 days from purchase is the RULE for sending this..
IF they deny me... I am going to be really pissed.

I wondered what was wrong when I checked my rebate info, and it STILL said awaiting paperwork..
wtf?
