yes things like c-60 (?) which is insanely slow

Except... the C-60 isn't insanely slow. Perhaps slower than Pentium B820/B960, but still plenty fast enough for snappy web browsing, and fast enough for watching online streaming video like twitch.tv, etc. (Though not in 1080P.)

I rather like my Acer Aspire One 722 with C-60 and 4GB RAM.

looking through these posts i would like to say a massive thank you to everyone 🙂 i have tried a 1080p video in IE and guess what, it is flawless! I think it is a problem with chrome like what was suggested above!

I find it hilarious that using IE fixed the problem, since people tend to hate on IE (and Microsoft products in general). A lot of you probably don't agree, but I honestly feel that IE9/10 are comparable to Chrome and Firefox. Firefox hasn't impressed me in a very long time, honestly.

Its all about the flash plugin tho. IE uses an ActiveX plugin unlike FF/Chrome.

Chrome is okay, FF is a ugly turd that should die in a fire...but i still prefer IE...even if it's not FOTM for all the wanna-bee's...

IE has sucked historically, and it takes a lot to make people change opinions. If I was having GPU acceleration issues in Chrome I would switch to a new IE, but otherwise I see no reason to change back now. Whereas I saw a very good reason to switch from IE to Firefox (because IE sucked out loud at the time), and from Firefox to Chrome (because Chrome was fast, and Firefox was bloated and slow). IE is good now, but it doesn't have a killer feature.
