Still no Skyrim fix :(

New profiles added with this release:

•Saints Row 3: Resolves stuttering seen when playing in CrossFireX mode.
•Also provides Single GPU and CrossFireX performance improvements when running in lower resolution configurations
•Gothic 4 Arcania: Fall of Setarrif: Improves CrossFire performance

This is really embarassing for AMD. One of the most anticipating games of the year has been out for days now and still CF support is lacking. Why? They probably had the game for weeks if not months in their labs.

Great to see Saint's Row 3 support, but continued lack of a Skyrim profile is really disappointing.

Another weekend with negative scaling in Skyrim. Little bit torqued. if I rename my .exe to oblivion or fallout3, will steam still track time and do achievements?

is it because of higher res and AA that you guys need much much faster cards and cross x?

on 1080p, HD6850 (single), all ultra and fxaa and shadow on high gives me above 60fps mostly.

Yes. A single 6950 is pretty laggy at 4xAA and 1600p.

Skyrim crossfire runs great with the Oblivion profile forced from Radeonpro, which makes me wonder why they dont just slap the default oblivion profile in a CAP for skyrim, and then improve it later.

Sounds about right. You do not need more than 1 6950 to max this game with a 2500k cpu. The key is a very fast cpu.

"So, if you’re looking to run at ultra detail settings using 1920x1080 and texture transparency AA, you need a Sandy Bridge-based CPU and a Radeon HD 6850 just to hit a 30 FPS minimum."

For me the Oblivion profile causes all fire effects to appear as large black blocks, so when a dragon breathes flame or I cast fire spells, the whole screen fills with black and I can't see anything.

The profile that fixes the fire display problem (a generic "AFR-Friendly Direct3D") causes wild flashing when I open the map or pause the game.

So both are "mostly" usable but definitely have problems an official profile shouldn't.

I run everything maxed (except shadows on high instead of ultra) and 4xAA. Even if CF isn't working, a single 5870 seems to be a good match for this game... though I would like to use my second GPU since I have it.

I do get some hitching here and there, but I imagine that is my 1GB frame buffer coming into play. I game at 1920x1200, btw. So I'm not sure if more GPU power would help me much since I'd still be limited to 1GB. But, I'd like to see the difference... get moving AMD. :/
