Does anyone know if there's a chance that AMD mobile will have HBM in 2015? I was thinking of buying a new laptop, but it'll be extremely annoying if we have to wait until 2016 for both the shrink and HBM. I'm expecting the answer is probably just Tonga compression and the usual rebranding BS...

Edit: Oops. Meant to put in the graphics section.

AMD will only have HBM on the flagship card next year. The highest model in mobile will be under the flagship card.

Snap! I can kick myself for not looking at deals prior to this month. What annoys me even more is it seems like Dell's Latitude line is going to take a huge step back, which is a shame because it offers one of the better deals. The Haswell version in 2013 had an AMD 8870M, and you could get it in the outlet for even under $400 sometimes. Meanwhile, in 2015, the broadwell version will have a Nvidia 830M as a discrete option. How effing retarded is that? I can't tell if it's just an attempt to segment more of the discrete options to the premium models, or if people are just plain stupid and will pick it due to it being from Nvidia.

The Rx M3xx series for AMD will be cheaper than what is out for the Rx M2xx series. Right now the only modern GPU for AMD in the mobile front is the R9 M295X.

Key thing for the Rx M3xx series is most of them will be fabbed at GlobalFoundries. Only rebrands from Rx M2xx series will be from TSMC.

Yeah, but it's hard to beat $375-400 for a Latitude with FHD, i5, and an 8870M with GDDR5 at the end of 2013.
