Well, I have an Epox 8kha+ and its working fine and stable but
if I were to fix up a PC now, I would probably pick the Soltek
instead of the Epox. I still have on-going issues with UDMA for
my DVD/CDRW drives and minor IDE hassles.
I would also agree with some of the posts and suggest a 761 chipset
board if you want a very very very stable board with minimal issues. The problem with 761 boards is that most (all??) are paired with the VIA 686B southbridge which has its own problems.
Known problems with the VIA KT266a boards are PCI latency issues and the AMD HALT command so you might want to take a look at the new SiS chipset as well. So in short, if you really want to stick with the VIA Kt266a get the Soltek (1st choice) or Epox (2nd choice) otherwise the ECS or other SiS boards looks pretty ok or AMD 761 boards if VIA turns you off - I'm irritated enough to strongly consider SiS for my next upgrade.
