AMD CPU Upgrade

Im trying to find the max processor speed I can use with L=this]http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/JABIL/4000594/4000594nv.shtml[/L] mobo from gateway.[

This Chipset:
AMD 750, consisting of the AMD 751 Irongate North bridge and the AMD 756 Viper South bridge

I couldn't find the answer on the Gateway site, Where is a good place to find info for upgrades?

How fast can I take this? What processor would I want? Would it need addtional cooling (if not OC'd)?

it appears this motherboard only supports 200Mhz bus speed (100mhz DDR) thus the fastest chip would be a 1.3Ghz duron, or an older athlon which ran with 100Mhz bus, (can't remember which one that is off the top of my head.

You may also need a bois upgrade to run a 1.3Ghz duron.

No, the the Irongate was slot A. If it is in fact slot A (instead of socket A), the fastest chip you can put in there is a 1ghz slot A tbird or 1ghz athlon ("classic"). Both are relatively expensive now because they are rare. Pricewatch only lists 700, 750, and 850 MHz slot A chips.
