AMD cooling pad?

Hi,
Im currently in the middle of putting together the bits for my new PC.
I have purchased an AMD Athlong 64 3400. It came with an AMD fan/heatsink.
I was wondering if the pad on the bottom of the heatsink is any good? Is it worth buying a seperate cooling pad / grease? Or will the AMD supplied stuff be ok.

Dittos effee. Nice thing about the pad is it's a one-time deal. Most greases should be redone at least annually or more often depending on how you use the confuser.

Great, thank you to everyone that got back to me!
I'll stick with it. I dont plan on OCing or anything like that, but i would like as stable system as poss, so wondered whether it was worth spending a few more £ to help woth cooling.
Thank you
