Fresh leak out today, not much is known but at least 8cu's is confirmed. Probably an engineering sample, core count is unknown and clocks may not be final.

This is very interesting to me because cezanne is seemingly 8cu only, and it seems unlikely to me that AMD could squeeze any more performance out of vega. A cpu only upgrade of renoir may be lackluster compared to tigerlake's quite large GPU.

What do you guys think? Will zen 3 be a large enough improvement in APU form? Will it have full cache? Are there more than 8cus? Has AMD truly evolved vega yet again or is it more like rdna?

5700, due to 16m L3 looks to be a Cezanne variant, which never appears in any leak before,,,,, looks rather like it's not for OEM

edit: alright just find it in the 4 days old news... also 5100 in the list...

As i see, no any GPU/iGPU bench listed in Sandra so iGPU is disabled or broken.

Are these SKUs really profitable for AMD, or are they reject dies repurposed for desktop? zen 3 7nm CCD is 84mm2 while cezanne is 176mm2 and renoir is 150mm2 approx, both on 7nm. The only thing I see happening is no need of 12nm I/O die, and being monolithic.

As expected, R5 5600G price drop to 200euro and again here it is as the best-selling processor.

R5 5600G+good and cheep AM4 motherboard vs i5 12400 and i5 12500 as if they did not exist=the duo takes only 60 CPU-s sold. :mask:

Just noticed A320 isn't on the supported chipset list. Interesting.

Cezanne is currently Agesa blocked on all 300 series, it seems like 1.2.0.7 may change that now.
I hope they dont keep blocking Cezanne on A320 just to sell more 400 and 500 series, they are still producing this thing, its not even EOL.

Yes, but not that important at all.For older motherboards or A320, for same $ as APU upgrade R5 4600G(155$) is much beeter CPU vs R5 5500 for 160$.

iGPU is always welcome, or Vega 7+AMD VCN hardware.

Renoir or Cezanne=no AV1 encoding/decoding in hardware.But I don't care about that at all.

Big difference in retail price, R5 5500 is 43euro cheeper vs R5 5600.

That is to big difference, it is very hard to swallow R5 5600 beeter CPU performance for 43euro higher price.

- most people will be more than happy with R5 5500 PCIe 3.0

Never thought I'd hear that about an A320 board.

At first, A320 was more of a problem since you kinda needed to OC on the Zen and Zen+, specially the Raven and Picasso APU that also needed an IGP overclock.

But these days you put a 5600/5600G into a A320 and you are fine running stock. Ill need to test the 5700G, but it probably works just fine too. It also supports XMP profiles and ram OC, and i only saw 1 A320 board without a M.2 slot.

The bigger issue with A320 today is that you cant combine it with the cheap RX 6400 / RX 6500 XT, due to the lack of PCI-E 4, but then again, that also the problem with A520 and B450...

Of note there includes a dual core model with Vega 3.
That's pretty gross, static 3 GHz as well. If nothing else it should be significantly below the 15W TDP in real usage. Wonder if it will be replaced by a smaller die down the line similar to Picasso -> Dali.
