AMD Catalyst question

Hello all, my thanks again to the great suggestions to upgrade from the 4830 I'm now running, I found a Powercolor 7790 1Gb card on Ebay for $59. While I wait for it to get here my question is I DL'ed the driver from powercolor's website but from AMD's site I see the latest Catalyst driver version is 15.7.1 which is newer than the one included with the powercolor's package, should I install the mfgr's package or go with the latest directly from AMD. IDK if Powercolor added any "goodies" in along with their version that might be of benefit to that particular chipset. Thanks in advance, Butch.

Just get the latest compatible from AMD. Typically, you'll find better performance/stability/features/etc, but sometimes the opposite is true.

Yea, manufacturers will sometimes add in "goodies" in their driver packages but AFAIK AMD already has an overclocking feature built in the CCC.
