Hmm, I'll try it. It's not like downgrading isn't a simple task if I get this bug. I'm looking forward to the beta too much to pass on optimizations!

edit: I have that bug. Went back to 15.8 beta, where it is gone. The memory leak is more than just resizing windows, although that gets it up the most. I hope there is a new driver before Oct 8...

I used it for a couple of hours after I installed it and to be honest I didn't notice anything. Maybe I'll boot my laptop up and check around a bit and see if it happens to me.

Resizing of windows is caused by a memory leak?

My windows were being resized after upgrading to WIn10 but it seems to be a common issue so there was a registry fix that cured it. I am on Cats 15.7.

A Dragon Age Inquisition Mantle fix, huh? Well I haven't been experiencing crashes with Mantle, but it has felt much more juddery and hitchy than the DirectX 11 renderer. I shouldn't be having any problems with DAI running in Mantle maxed out except for MSAA at 1080p. It's possible the problem stems from the Mantle code path not being optimized to run on Windows 10, though. In any case, I'll install this driver to see if it makes any difference.

I had one black screen at boot up with the 15.9 and will now get the 15.9.1.

Edit: When I tried to install the 15.9.1 I had issues even with using update driver in device manager. I ended up having to reinstall 15.9 which is working for me.

I was given the unsigned driver warning for the HDMI audio driver so no go for these. Back to 15.7!

I reinstalled it but this time I let it unpack to its default directory and it was able to install correctly. I experienced a black screen two times after installing it afterwards everything worked as it should.

Does this driver add any performance increase to an R9 290 other then what's been noted game wise? Is there a reason why I should install? I'm still running Win 7.

This driver adds flickering that I didn't have with 15.4

I haven't tried any other drivers since April then I try these and flickering all over the place after a certain amount of time.

I am not the only one, actually this issue has been persisting for some users since 15.7 and still no solutions for it. Typical AMD driver team indifference.

I recently got back to FFXIV and have been playing it a lot. Seems their "[59298] Final Fantasy XIV - Heavensward may crash when run in DirectX 11® mode and borderless window mode" bug has been around since June and it only affects Tonga/Hawaii/Fiji cards.

I wasn't even aware of this when I was picking a card in August. I said it in another post, if I had to guess AMD is throwing all their support behind DX12.

That sucks dude. I'm glad I don't have that issue.

Apparently it touches people using Display Port with another or more monitors using different outputs. Warsam said on another forum that the use of MST Hub prevents this from happenning.

But it wasn't doing this in drivers before 15.7.

I have found a workaround that when the flickering starts after a certain time, I just go in CCC and disable the eyefinity group and re-enable it and then the flickering doesn't come back.

I have tried to mess with all the PowerPlay options with no avail.

Currently playing Mad Max at 8040x1440 Ultra settings and everything is fine after resetting the eyefinity display group.

Oh ya, I've been on a pvz bender lately. No time for deeper games.

Hmm, I'm on mixed ports too. What games are you getting flicker in btw?
