AMD Catalyst 11.10 Preview 3

Adobe After Affects still wont work for me. When I try to start it, it flashes and comes up saying an OpenGL problem has occurred. And a little notification pops up by the clock saying my video card driver has recovered from an error. Same thing it did with preview 2. I want to keep the new drivers for the better performance/bug solving for Rage, but I need After Affects too. :/ Hopefully a official release will come out soon.

Another thing you could try (read that it worked for some) is use the Cat 11.9 and copy this file http://www.mediafire.com/?87r6376krmoisce in the C:...\Rage directory.

Thanks. I can wait a week or so for the official release. If that doesnt fix it, Ill try your method.

CCC always crashes for me after I update drivers unless I completely remove all instances of the ATI drivers and do a full fresh install.

Who even still uses CCC ? I didn't think people actually did. Never installed that I always just install the video card drivers. I use a much better alternative to CCC.

Even since AMD changed the default settings for video I have to install it since no alternative programs I know of have those settings. Every few months I'll complain how awful some HD video looks only to remember DNR/EE got enabled with that driver update.

In a beta driver? Or does the 11.9 WHQL work fine? From what I gathered, this is an issue on the betas only in which you have no right to complain. 11.10 will be out on the 31st.

It crops up from time to time with any driver. It is really irritating.

With BF3 being released so soon, I was hoping for AMD to add DX11 MTR support
Maybe we have to wait yet another year...

I can't get CC to open. I try opening it and it acts like its executing and then nothing. I tried the windows/assembly method but I never found the ATI code name in the directory.

So I guess I am going to do what others have had to do and use drivercleaner and such to completely remove every ATI driver file. I'm just to lazy right now. 🙂

Anyone know how to open/run the ATI Encoding program without having to go through the CCC? I couldn't find any obvious way myself...

My problem is the exact same one as yours.

I've heard of the old ATI drivers (before it became AMD) causing problems but I don't have the registry keys that people reference causing the problems.

They work fine here but I don't use softwares some of you use neither do I use CF. But they work here in Rage and any other games I play (TW2, Starcraft 2, AoC, TQIT, Crysis 2, etc).

using these with windows 8 and they work fine, except afterburner and trixx still won't work so i'm stuck with ccc for overclocking
