AMD Case Mod Project

Well, I finally have 3DMark 06 installed, but haven't run a test yet, or had time to tinker with AMD Overdrive. Yesterday I concentrated on the business side of Mnpctech preparing everything for the tax man tonight.
 
AMD Overdrive also has a "Novice" mode control to overclock the 9900, I'll look into this when I'm back at the shop.
 
Gronk, a quick question.

What happens to these rigs after the show is over? Do you take them home? Who gets to keep them?

Also what happens when you guys get to keep them? Do you auction them off? or sell it?


I was kinda curious what those guys did with these rigs in the after life of there stardom.

The cpu is a bit of a let down here..

Heres my sys specs again..

Vista Ultimate

2x 3870 X2
1x WD 400GB HDD
1x 2GB PC2-8000 memory
1x GB 790FX board
1x 750W PCPC power supply
1x Phenom 2.6

Crossfire is enabled (all 4). Confirmed several times.

I tried AMD's Overdrive program and only reached 2.7 with Autoclock mode.

Last night I scored 12930 on 3Dmark 06 without overclocking the cpu.. I haven't done this in years. How does this score rank for today's systems?

I believe the "Top End" right now is 15000, but don't trust that figure too much. I have never had a high end video setup so I never test.

I think we're soon to re-define the top end with dual 9800GX2's on skulltrail, should get interesting, perhaps we'll be needing a new 3dMark soon?

Sure, I write-off everthing as office supply,,, one problem though,,, gotta pay for it first:disgust:

If I could afford that my hobbies would more likely along the lines of ferarris, old muscle cars and the hardbodies I could get in the passenger seat.....

lmao... yea explain to your cpa why you need a 1700 dollar keyboard as an "office supply".

Your cpa is gonna say where is the rest of the computer. 😛

I even trained mine to accept 3-4g machines, but i could never explain to him why i needed a 1700 dollar keyboard. I think he would chase me out of his office for making him do more work.
